The site offers general information and a way to send your request to one independent local contractor. It is not a contractor. It holds no Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor registration, does not offer to do any basement work, and never visits homes, prices jobs, signs contracts or handles insurance claims. Any estimate, contract, payment, permit or warranty is strictly between you and the contractor you choose to hire.

We don't check, vouch for or guarantee any contractor, their work, their prices or their paperwork. Before you hire anyone, confirm their Massachusetts HIC registration with the state, ask for a Construction Supervisor License for structural work, and get a written contract that lists the registration number.

Contractors may pay this site for advertising. You never pay this site, and it never gives you anything for using it.

The articles, cost ranges and tools are provided as they are, for general guidance. Figures come from the sources named next to them and can change. Nothing here is legal, insurance, engineering or financial advice.

To the fullest extent the law allows, the site and its owner are not liable for any loss or damage that follows from using the site, relying on its content or dealing with a contractor. You agree not to misuse the site, submit false requests or copy its content for commercial use.
